English National Ballet celebrates the legacy of the legendary Ballets Russes with performances inspired by some of the troupe's great works. Ballets Russes productions were collaborations between major choreographers, composers, artists and dancers of the time, bringing together Pavlova, Picasso, Debussy, Chanel, Matisse and Stravinsky. Highlights of this season include Kenneth MacMillan's magnificent reworking of The Rite of Spring and Suite en Blanc, choreographed by one of Diaghilev's star dancers, Serge Lifar.
