Carisbrooke Castle is the historic royal castle on the Isle of
Wight. It is remarkably complete with battlements to march across
and a keep to climb and is famous as a royal prison to Charles I.
The donkeys that live there are a must-see and there are lots of
hands-on activities too. Relax in the Princess Beatrice Garden,
designed by TV presenter and award-winning garden designer, Chris
Beardshaw.
