Experience big skies, exciting wildlife and a great place for
getting closer to nature.
Escape the city, get close to wildlife and come and enjoy a
ancient landscape on the banks of the River Thames. There is
something for everyone: families, walkers, wildlife enthusiasts and
school groups.
The RSPB has transformed the reserve from a MoD shooting range
back to a unique marshland, teeming with a myriad of wildlife from
birds and mammals to insects and reptiles.
With over 2 miles of fully accessible trails, hides that afford
great views over the marshes, toddler and adventure play areas,
wildlife garden and marshland discovery zone, the reserve is a
fantastic day out for all.
Our Visitor Centre cafe serves hot food, sandwiches and glorious
homemade cakes, while the shop has all your wildlife care needs
covered.
Throughout the year there is a diverse events programme, please
