What are they?

Anytime tickets offer you the most flexibility in terms of when you can travel, with no restrictions on the time or day of the week.

Is it for me?

If you require flexibility and want to travel when the trains are busy e.g. early on a weekday morning, then an Anytime ticket is the best option for you.

What about restrictions?

Anytime tickets are fully flexible, with no time of day or day of week restrictions on when you can travel. They may be restricted by route or operator as stated on the ticket.

Single tickets are valid for one Single journey between two stations on the date shown on the ticket.

Day Return tickets are valid for one Return journey between two stations on the date shown on the ticket.

Return tickets are valid for one Return journey between two stations. The outbound portion is valid for five days from the start date on the ticket, the return portion is valid for one calendar month from the start date on the ticket.

When can I buy?

Anytime tickets can be purchased at any time, either in advance or on the day of travel.

What discounts can I get?

If you have a Railcard or Gold Card you could get up to 1/3 off your Anytime ticket, subject to the restrictions of the Railcard/Gold Card.
